about
By releasing their singles Higher Ground and The Law previously this year, Reach has been defining the start of a new musical era and letting their listeners into the alluring, ghostlike and gritty world they create around their upcoming new album. Now releasing their new single Motherland, they are challenging their listeners by showcasing next level of the experimental songwriting and powerful storytelling that is Reach.
Giving a comment on the upcoming release Ludvig Turner, the singer, guitar player and songwriter of the band says: ”I had this picture in my head of someone telling an old legend of a far away land and its evil ruler. I enjoyed writing this song as you'd tell a story, it really brought a lot of life to it in my opinion. “Bow down, get it right, learn to follow rules” describes the mentality of this fictional world but I can't help thinking of Sovjet and Lenin while picturing this world.”

LYRICS:
Sit down, gather round
People come on through
Red eyes big cigars
Far from Moulin rouge
Ayayay
The story lasts forever
You really need to get it
Midnight, a worried moon
watches over you
Bow down, get it right
Learn To follow rules
Ayayay
This story lasts forever
You really need to get it
Why you wanna run
We´ll show you how real men murder for fun
Why you wanna go
The strongest survives while the weak sleep below
Let me tell you, let me tell you about The mighty man
and the Story of the greatest land
Who we gotta, who we gotta answer to
The king of the Motherland
Ayayay
This story lasts forever
You really need to get it
Why you wanna run
We'll show you how real men murder for fun
Why you wanna go
The strongest survives while the weak sleeps below
Can you save us
Can you
Can you save us
Save us now
Ayayay
This story lasts forever
You really need to get it
Why you wanna run
we'll show you how real men Murder for fun
Why you wanna go
The strongest survives while the weak sleeps below
Sleep below
